Induction: Preparing New Teachers to Succeed
The Center for Teacher Innovation is excited to announce the launch of its fully redesigned induction programs. CTI has developed an innovative, performance-based, blended learning design, moving away from the redundancies that new teachers often believe were reminiscent of their teacher preparation programs. Fostering a mindset of continual growth, this new system facilitates teacher growth by meaningful, manageable cycles of inquiry that are natural and fluid occurrences in a new teacher's day-to-day work.
Induction is the required route to earning a Clear Teaching Credential. The Commission on Teaching Credentialing (CTC) governs induction programs based on Induction Standards and providers must participate in ongoing accreditation activities. Only CTC accredited program providers may offer induction. Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is the program sponsor of a CTC-accredited teacher induction program. The Center for Teacher Innovation is a subsidiary of RCOE.
